Background:

Findings from the 2022 FCN Nursing Education Report indicated a critical barrier to faculty recruitment in Florida is a limited applicant pool. To address this issue, the Florida Center for Nursing has developed a continuing education activity, Shaping the Future: Becoming Nursing Faculty, to discuss the role of nursing faculty.

About the program:

Shaping the Future: Becoming Nursing Faculty is a fully online and asynchronous continuing education activity. For those interested in learning more about or becoming a nursing faculty member, we hope this program will provide you with an overview of the roles and responsibilities and demonstrate how you can be part of the solution to the nursing faculty shortage in Florida.

USF Health is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. 1.5 contact hours will be earned by learners who successfully complete the continuing nursing education activity.

Florida Board of Nursing

USF Health (provider number 2970) is an approved provider of continuing education (CE) for nurses through Florida Board of Nursing. This activity has been approved for 1.5 contact hours.
